Berto Pasta launches a new menu with table-side dishes.
Berto Pasta is an artisanal pasta restaurant that, up until now, was considered part of sister restaurant Zia Lucia’s offering. Now, Berto Pasta is coming out of its big sister’s shadow and launching a brand-new menu and pasta experience in its original North London home.
This October, just in time for World Pasta Day on the 25th October, Berto is launching a menu of new dishes made from their signature hand-crafted fresh pasta. And for the week prior to World Pasta Day, Berto will be offering diners 50% off all pasta on the new menu. Guests can now choose from a new Leggendiare menu, which features dishes finished by the table. The star item on the menu is Berto’s take on the viral pasta phenomenon, the Flaming Maccheroni Alla Vodka, with a vodka-flambeed tomato sauce, Italian pork sausage, Calabrian spicy nduja and pecorino Romano DOP.
From October, the 45-cover restaurant’s original entrance will be opened up, and once more, Berto’s pasta bar, where diners can watch chefs craft fresh pasta by hand, will be a central hub for the restaurant. Berto, much like Zia Lucia is a prominent figure in the lives of restaurant owners Claudio Vescovo and Gianluca D’Angelo. An expert pasta maker, friend and teacher, Piero – or ‘Berto’ as they call him – is both the inspiration behind the evolvement of the brand and a key figure in the restaurant.
