In a delightful collaboration, celebrated chef Cyrus Todiwala OBE DL and The Cook’s Adventures have announced an exclusive 12-day culinary journey to Odisha, a region in India that remains largely undiscovered by global travelers. Known for its vibrant markets, tribal traditions, and stunning coastal landscapes, Odisha is a treasure trove of cultural and culinary experiences, and this tour promises to bring its essence to life in an extraordinary way.
Curated by Chef Dev Biswal, the founder of The Cook’s Adventures and The Cook’s Tales in Canterbury, the tour is a heartfelt homage to his home state. The itinerary is meticulously designed to offer participants an immersive experience, blending hands-on cooking sessions with local chefs, visits to bustling spice and produce markets, stays at eco-friendly coastal resorts, and rare interactions with tribal communities.
To mark the launch, The Cook’s Adventures and Café Spice Namasté in London are hosting a special six-course Odisha-inspired tasting menu event on 14th November. Priced at £95, including drinks, the evening will feature a unique culinary journey through Odisha’s flavors, accompanied by a presentation about the tour. With limited spaces available, food enthusiasts are encouraged to book early via www.cafespice.co.uk.
While Chef Todiwala won’t be leading the tour personally, he has enthusiastically endorsed it as a reflection of his core values: authenticity, exploration, and a deep respect for culinary heritage. “Travel and food are inseparable in my life,” he shared. “This Odisha adventure captures the spirit of discovery that I hold dear, and I’m thrilled to share it with my community.”
Chef Biswal, who shares a passion for culinary storytelling and innovation, expressed his excitement about the collaboration. “Working with Cyrus has been an absolute pleasure. We both cherish tradition but also embrace creativity and new ideas, making this partnership a perfect fit,” he said.
