A Taste of France, Made in London

Born from a London family venture, Mada Mada brings French-style praliné to British tables with nut-rich spreads crafted from simple ingredients, roasted flavours and playful patisserie-inspired combinations for everyday indulgence.

L  ondon brand Mada Mada is putting a French family favourite on British breakfast tables with its range of pralinés: rich, nut-forward spreads made with just a handful of ingredients and a great deal of heart.

The business takes its name from ‘Chez Madame Ada,’ the cardboard shop that the founders’ daughter Adele ran from the family’s front room as a child. When the couple opened a small coffee van in London in July 2020, serving coffee alongside freshly baked chouquettes, the name was an easy choice. Ada even designed the logo herself. By November that year, pralinés had joined the menu. Their popularity soon turned the van into a full blown family affair, with son Victor now serving as chief taste-tester. Drawing on their patisserie background, the family also supplies caterers, chefs, bakers and pâtissiers across London.

Each jar contains only three or four ingredients: nuts, sugar and a single defining addition. The almond and hazelnut is the classic, deep and toasty with a true roasted flavour. Cashew and cinnamon is softer and creamier, with a gentle autumn warmth. Madagascan vanilla is smooth and mellow, and toasted coconut adds a lightly caramelised sweetness. Popcorn is the most playful of the range sprinkled with crispy popcorn bits.

Across the range, the nuts lead and the sugar plays a supporting role. The result is velvety and spreadable, but never cloying. Spread them over croissants, crêpes, or warm toast; swirl them through porridge or yoghurt; spoon them over ice cream; or use them as a filling for cakes, tarts, and choux. Thanks to the high nut content, the spreads also bring fibre, vitamins, and minerals along with them.

Mada Mada pralinés are made in the UK and sold through stockists across London.

EDITOR’S NOTE

Mada Mada brings something refreshingly personal to the crowded world of sweet spreads. With nuts taking centre stage and sugar kept deliberately in the background, these pralinés celebrate flavour rather than simple sweetness. The family story behind the brand adds charm, but it is the simplicity of the recipes and their versatility—from breakfast toast to sophisticated pâtisserie—that make Mada Mada particularly interesting.
