From left: Coral Lemon Balm & Mint, Mayi Vanilla & Green Tea, Mizu Ginger & Hibiscus and Acqua Blood Orange & Juniper—four botanical flavour combinations from Catalyse Life Drinks.
Four flavours, colourful cans and an elegant design give Catalyse’s enhanced sparkling waters plenty of appeal. We enjoyed the whole selection as refreshing drinks on their own and alongside food, with Ginger & Hibiscus emerging as our favourite.
A refreshing drink deserves as much consideration as the food beside it. Catalyse Life Drinks brings an interesting selection of botanical flavour combinations to its enhanced sparkling water range, presented in cans that look smart enough to take straight to the table.
Taste London tried all four: Coral Lemon Balm & Mint, Mayi Vanilla & Green Tea, Mizu Ginger & Hibiscus and Acqua Blood Orange & Juniper. Each offers a different pairing, giving the collection variety and making it enjoyable to explore.
My favourite was Mizu, the Ginger & Hibiscus blend. Of the four, this was the one I liked most and would choose first when returning to the range. Ginger is an appealing direction for a sparkling drink, and its pairing with hibiscus makes this a particularly interesting option.
The other three were enjoyable too. Lemon Balm & Mint takes a herbal approach, Vanilla & Green Tea offers an unusual combination, while Blood Orange & Juniper brings citrus and botanical ingredients together. There is enough variety here to encourage trying the full selection before deciding on a favourite.
What impressed us across the range was its everyday appeal. All four were refreshing when thirsty, and we also enjoyed them with food. That gives the collection a useful place both as a drink to enjoy by itself and as something to serve alongside a meal.
The packaging adds to the experience. The yellow-green, emerald, blue and pink cans have a cool, elegant appearance, with gold detailing and clear lettering bringing the collection together. The design feels neat and considered, while the different colours make each variety easy to recognise.
Catalyse presents its four blends under the names Immunity, Energy, Beauty and Relaxation. For our tasting, the attraction was straightforward: enjoyable drinks, interesting flavour combinations and presentation we liked.
Ginger & Hibiscus takes our personal top spot, but the collection as a whole makes a pleasing impression. It is a range we would happily revisit, whether reaching for refreshment or choosing a drink to accompany food.
EDITOR’S NOTE
I enjoyed all four Catalyse drinks, but Ginger & Hibiscus was my favourite. They were refreshing when thirsty and enjoyable with food, making them easy to fit into everyday drinking. I also particularly liked the cans: cool, elegant and neat, with a distinctive colour for each flavour. A well-presented collection with plenty of appeal.
