CICI’S COLD BREW PAIRS COFFEE WITHA COMMUNITY PURPOSE

Cici’s Cold Brew brings Original, Oat and Caramel to its ready-to-drink range, combining founder Sarah Phillips’s decade of home brewing with a commitment to simple ingredients, balanced flavour and a wider community purpose.

C  ici’s Cold Brew is bringing a personal approach to ready-to-drink coffee, with a three-flavour range developed from years of experimentation at home.

Founder Sarah Phillips spent a decade working with different beans, brewing times and recipes before turning her interest into a business. Encouragement from friends and family helped her recognise an opportunity to share her coffee with a wider audience.

The range comprises Original, Oat and Caramel. Original puts the cold brew itself at the centre, while Oat offers a creamy, plant-based alternative. Caramel was developed to introduce a touch of indulgence without overwhelming the coffee.

Speaking to Taste London, Sarah said the intention was to create a product that felt both premium and approachable, with flavour taking priority over unnecessary additions.

“The goal was always balance and authenticity rather than overly sweet flavours,” she said.

Dietary consideration also shaped the business from the outset. Sarah describes the products as dairy-free and gluten-free, explaining that loved ones living with intolerances inspired her approach to developing the range.

Alongside its product ambitions, Cici’s has outlined a community commitment through its “Brew Good to Do Good” initiative. The brand’s website names DEBRA and The Smallest Things as charity partners. DEBRA supports people living with epidermolysis bullosa, while The Smallest Things supports premature babies and their families.

The website also sets out a longer-term ambition to support vulnerable children, families and local neonatal intensive care charities.

For Sarah, the commercial challenge is building awareness and earning trust in a crowded coffee market. Her plans centre on reaching more consumers across the UK and beyond while retaining the patience and consistency learned through home brewing.

“Great cold brew can’t be rushed,” she said.

EDITOR’S NOTE
Cici’s has a clear starting point — keep coffee at the heart of the drink. Sarah Phillips’s emphasis on patience, flavour balance and dietary consideration gives the range a thoughtful foundation. Its community ambitions add another dimension to a business developed from a personal passion.
