A Charming Oasis of Flavour and Comfort
The Full Monty Cafe in Bethnal Green delivers on its promises with an extensive menu of breakfast delights. The cosy decor and impeccable service set the stage for scrumptious meals, featuring dreamy sourdough and perfectly balanced cortados. A must-visit for breakfast enthusiasts.
BETHNAL GREEN – The Full Monty Cafe in Bethnal Green is a true gem for breakfast lovers, and our recent visit on a rainy Saturday morning left us thoroughly satisfied. From the moment we stepped inside, the cafe’s inviting and cosy atmosphere charmed us. The decor features wooden tables and chairs reminiscent of a traditional worker’s cafe or a neighbourhood Turkish eatery. The space is adorned with artificial yet convincing plants, and a chalkboard menu stands proudly near the till. The shiny espresso machine sits next to a display of fresh oranges, ready to be transformed into refreshing juices. The ambiance strikes a balance between local comfort and a nod to healthy living.
The service was on point, with just the right waiting time from sitting down to having our orders taken. The menu at The Full Monty is impressively extensive, offering a wide array of breakfast options. Given the sheer variety, I’m often sceptical when it comes to expecting high-quality dishes, but The Full Monty Cafe manages to deliver on its promises.
I was particularly pleased to find my favourite omelette on the menu, sparing me the usual task of persuading the chef to make it to my liking. The spinach, feta, and tomato omelette I ordered was a delight. The feta was wonderfully salty and creamy, and the accompanying salad was fresh and generous. My partner’s choice, the worker’s breakfast, featured a mix of breakfast meats, including black pudding. His plate was even more generous, with a perfect Cumberland sausage, expertly cooked bacon, and the standout item – sourdough bread that was irresistibly tangy and chewy. The menu even offers various toppings on sourdough, and I’d gladly travel a considerable distance for a slice with poached egg or avocado. Did I mention the sourdough? It’s a dream.
To top off the meal, I ordered a cortado, which was expertly prepared with a well-balanced espresso that had just the right level of intensity.
If breakfast is your thing, I wholeheartedly recommend The Full Monty Cafe. It combines an extensive menu, top-notch food quality, and a warm, laid-back atmosphere that makes it a perfect destination for a satisfying morning meal. Whether you’re a local or visiting Bethnal Green, The Full Monty is definitely worth a visit for a breakfast experience that hits all the right notes.
