Delicious and inclusive:
Palaette offers halal options and
vegan-friendly dishes for everyone to enjoy
HACKNEY – Tucked away on Mare Street in the vibrant Hackney Central area, Palaette Cafe stands as a true gem of the neighbourhood. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by an explosion of colours, enthusiasm, and delectable aromas. As a reviewer, I must commend the cafe for its vibrant atmosphere and tasteful offerings.
Palaette Cafe is the brainchild of Gunes Alkan, a talented entrepreneur, mother, and architect by trade. Her architectural knowledge shines through in every plate she creates, displaying both sophistication and creativity. Alongside her husband and business partner, they form the backbone of the Palaette family. This dynamic team’s passion for food and dedication to their craft is evident in every aspect of the cafe.
One aspect that truly sets Palaette apart is its commitment to inclusivity. The cafe offers halal and vegan options, ensuring that everyone can find something to delight their taste buds. This dedication to catering to diverse dietary preferences is both commendable and appreciated.
During my visit, I couldn’t resist trying their renowned Classic Dirty Brekky, priced at £12.90. This dish proved to be a heavenly hangover cure. It boasted two succulent Cumberland sausages, crispy bacon slices, perfectly cooked free-range eggs, a juicy portobello mushroom, grilled baby tomatoes, flavourful baked beans, and two mouth-watering hashbrowns. Accompanied by artisan bread and butter, the combination of flavours was a symphony for the taste buds. Each ingredient was thoughtfully prepared and expertly seasoned, resulting in a hearty and satisfying breakfast experience.
To accompany my meal, I opted for a simple yet delightful plain black tea. Its clean and refreshing taste provided the perfect balance to the rich flavours of the breakfast ensemble.
Palaette Cafe’s dedication to serving breakfast and brunch options all day is a true blessing for breakfast enthusiasts like myself. The flexibility to enjoy breakfast delicacies at any time ensures that Palaette remains a go-to spot for both early risers and those seeking a mid-day indulgence.
The ambiance of the cafe is cosy and inviting, reflecting the warm and friendly nature of its staff. The attention to detail in both the presentation of the food and the overall decor adds an extra touch of charm to the dining experience.
My visit to Palaette Cafe was an absolute delight. With its welcoming atmosphere, inclusive menu options, and a rich variety of breakfast offerings, Palaette stands as a vibrant culinary haven on Mare Street. I wholeheartedly recommend indulging in their Classic Dirty Brekky or exploring the other colourful plates they have to offer. The journey through the flavours of Palaette Cafe is one you won’t want to miss.
